Sep. 22—METHUEN — The Methuen Scholarship Basis will maintain its first Arthur Nicholson III Bocce Event on Oct. 15 on the Methuen Sons of Italy, 459 Merrimack St., beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The price is $40 per participant with 4 gamers on a crew. The price consists of three video games per crew in addition to breakfast and lunch. All proceeds go in the direction of Senior Scholarships at Methuen Excessive College.

Haverhill Excessive College college students acknowledged for educational excellence

HAVERHILL — Three Haverhill Excessive College juniors have earned tutorial honors from the School Board Nationwide Recognition Applications. These applications grant underrepresented college students with tutorial honors that may be included on school and scholarship purposes and join college students with universities throughout the nation.

Abigail Mejia obtained the Nationwide African American Recognition Award and Nationwide Hispanic Recognition Award; Alexis Namulinda obtained the Nationwide African American Recognition Award, and Kiara Ventura obtained the Nationwide Hispanic Recognition Award.

Eligible college students can be invited to use throughout their sophomore or junior 12 months and can be awarded in the beginning of the subsequent faculty 12 months. College students will obtain their awards in time to incorporate them on their school and scholarship purposes.

“This program creates a approach for schools and scholarship applications to attach immediately with underrepresented college students who they’re hoping to achieve,” stated Tarlin Ray, School Board senior vice chairman of BigFuture. “We hope the award winners and their households have fun this prestigious honor and it helps them plan for his or her massive future.”

Crafters needed for Pumpkin Patch occasion

AMESBURY — The Major Road Congregational Church at 145 Major St. is searching for crafts folks to take part in a craft truthful on Oct. 15 as a part of its Pumpkin Patch occasion, which takes place from 9 a.m. to three p.m. Rain date is Oct. 16.

The Pumpkin Patch can be receiving 1000’s of pumpkins on Sept. 25. The pumpkins are grown on a Navajo Reservation in New Mexico for Pumpkin Patch USA, using Reservation residents, and are shipped to church buildings and different non-profits throughout the nation.
