lengthy island dance household remembers their instructor with a scholarship


MILLER PLACE, NY — Beloved dance trainer Marge Marchand’s dance household is aware of she is dancing in heaven along with her husband, Bob, they usually need her legacy on this world to proceed.

“You made the most effective components of all of us shine, and we’ll miss you eternally,” wrote GoFundMeorganizer, Marianne Cartisano. “We are going to hold shining for you!”

Marchand “instilled confidence, vanity, and empathy for all of her dance college students,” and now her dance household needs to recollect her with a scholarship.

Marchand, who based Marchand’s College of Dance, died Sept. 20, “leaving an “huge void within the Miller Place neighborhood, her dance household, and in her kids and grandchildren’s lives,” Cartisano wrote, including, “Miss Margie was a pillar of our neighborhood for over 40 years.”

On the web page, she wrote that Marchand had a mission “of acceptance and love for all,” including, “Miss Margie instilled confidence, vanity, and empathy in all of her college students, and confirmed great kindness and generosity to all those that knew her.”

The Miss Margie Marchand Memorial Scholarship drive has been created “with the spirit that we honor the legacy she has constructed and to “have fun her life,” Cartisano wrote.

The scholarship might be for graduating seniors from Miller Place Excessive College and “will proceed her mission of kindness, appreciation of dance, and the devotion she had for the neighborhood she liked a lot,” the web page continued.

Cartisano ended with a public plea, asking the neighborhood assist proceed Marchand’s “legacy and devotion to kids by making a donation.”

“No quantity is just too small to make a distinction within the lives of others in Marge Marchand’s title,” she wrote.

Up to now the web page has raised $4,680 0f its $5,000 objective.
