CEDAR RAPIDS — A Hiawatha man is going through a felony cost after authorities mentioned he dedicated fraud whereas working as an insurance coverage agent.
Frank Paul Tarasi, 36, labored as a life insurance coverage agent by Daley Insurance coverage Company in Cedar Rapids.
He was charged with fraudulent submissions after he admitted to utilizing altered or false data when submitting an utility for all times insurance coverage for a shopper, in keeping with a prison grievance.
The false or altered data was despatched Jan. 6, and he admitted to the crime Jan. 12, the grievance states.
An investigation by the Iowa Insurance coverage Division’s Fraud Bureau began in Might. Tarasi was arrested and had his first look Friday in Linn County District Courtroom. He was launched on his personal recognizance.
Tarasi pleaded not responsible and is scheduled to have a jury trial Jan. 24.
